India is a country with 1.3 billion population with more than 65% of the population in working age. When the whole world is exclaiming your potential of growth, does India really dwell on the visions of becoming superpower, a driving force of 21st century? Lots of top notch politicians and businessmen boast on youth population of India. But, does the education system of India render the students to be the global leader in terms of innovation, trade, sports, etc.?
Connotation of Education
The fundamental connotation of education is an enlightenment from darkness to a world with equal opportunities for all and no social differences.
Education doesn't only means reading books and having good grades in academics. It is the nourishment of the best inside you. Unfortunately, the current system of education is completely based on the social differences and the grades.
Quality of Education in Government and Convent Schools
Although it is the fundamental right of every citizen of the country to have a proper quality education, today it is suffering from the economic differences amongst families.
The current scenario is that the quality of education in state govt. school is so inferior as compared to convent that the impoverished children can't even imagine to compete with private school kids. Their whole dream of a better world is shattered due to this inefficiency. They get stuck in the social hierarchy same as their ancestors, earlier due to social differences and now due to economic differences.
Life is now a race
Cracking the entrance and getting admission to the finest college decides how much opportunities you will have to nurture your dreams and fulfill your passion. This kills the creativity and innovative brains of the country.
Diminishing Research and Development in India
The reason is lack of proper infrastructure and funds that match the standards of the world class facilities. There is a lack of visionary leadership and skill development among the research students. There is a dearth of enthusiasm for learning due to lack of scope in the country and mostly thereby prefer to leave the country to lead a better life.
When the eminent brain of the country is going outside for betterment, how can you even dream of becoming a superpower?
